A technique capable of non-invasively promoting DNA repair is provided. The DNA repair method of the present disclosure is characterized in that a cell is irradiated with terahertz light to promote damage repair of DNA in the cell. The terahertz light is preferably continuous light, and its frequency is preferably 0.15 to 1 THz, preferably 0.2 to 0.5 THz, and preferably 150 to 300 MW/cm (sup 2) power density. Figure 1
