This cooling drum for freezing a particulate is equipped with an intake port through which a particulate is introduced, and a discharge port through which the particulate is discharged and which is positioned on the side of the drum opposite the intake port. This cooling drum for freezing particulate includes a first cylindrical section which has a first inner surface formed from a first material, and a second cylindrical section which has a second inner surface formed from a second material and positioned on the discharge port side of the first cylindrical section. The thermal conductivity of the first material is lower than the thermal conductivity of the second material.
