PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of adsorbing not allowing a sulfur-based gas produced from a content to be released with a food packing material not including a barrier layer.SOLUTION: A method of adsorbing a sulfur-based gas uses a packing material, in which the packing material comprises a base material, a printed layer, a coat layer, an adhesive layer and a sealant layer. The coat layer consists of a coating agent containing metal oxide (A) and binder resin, in which the metal oxide (A) contains at least one selected from a group consisting of copper oxide, zinc oxide, manganese oxide, iron oxide, cobalt oxide, and magnesium oxide.SELECTED DRAWING: None
