An objective of the present invention is to provide an acidic milk beverage with which the sensation of catching in the throat after drinking is suppressed, and to provide a method for producing the same. The present invention is characterized by comprising a process for including a JCM5805 strain in the production of an acidic milk beverage having a pH of 6 or less.
