The problem of the present invention is to provide an agent, a food composition, an animal feed composition, and a drug composition, each containing n-6DPA, administered orally, used for preventing thrombosis, and having an outstanding thrombosis preventing effect. A thrombosis preventive agent according to the present invention comprises one of: microalgae containing n-6DPA; a fatty acid composition obtained from the microalgae and containing n-6DPA; or n-6DPA, and is characterized by being administered orally at an effective amount at which the n-6DPA equivalent amount is 9 mg/kg/day or less.
