[Problem] To provide a immunoglobulin-binding protein which has improved chemical stability, particularly stability with respect to alkalis, an immunoglobulin-binding protein which enables antibody elution in mild pH conditions, and an adsorbent on which the protein is immobilized. [Solution] The present invention solves the above problem by including an amino acid sequence of an immunoglobulin binding domain of a protein L derived from bacteria of the genus Finegoldia, wherein in the amino acid sequence, an amino acid residue of a specific site in the domain is substituted with another specific amino acid residue, so that antibody elution properties or stability with respect to alkalis is improved.
