[Problem] There are various vapor deposition films having different heat shrinkabilities due to base films thereof. In cases where a laminate is produced using a vapor deposition film that has a high thermal shrinkage in the longitudinal direction and the laminate is subjected to retort processing, the barrier properties of the laminate sometimes deteriorate. Improvement by means of the base films involves a problem of setting a specific brand because of the large production volume at one time. [Solution] According to the present invention, the water vapor transmission rate after retort processing is able to be suppressed to 2.5 grams per square metre·day or less by providing a multilayer body which has a shrinkage in the MD direction of 1.2 percent or less before and after retort processing in the width direction, with the difference ? between the maximum MD shrinkage and the minimum MD shrinkage being 0.4 percent or...
