This barrier film comprises a base material layer and a metal oxide layer. The base material layer includes: a biomass-derived polyolefin layer containing a biomass-derived polyolefin; and a fossil fuel-derived polyolefin layer not containing a biomass-derived polyolefin. The fossil fuel-derived polyolefin layer is the outermost layer on the metal oxide layer-side of the base material layer, and the biomass level of the base material layer is 5 percent or greater.
