Asparagus officinalis L. is an important functional vegetable. It is rich in the substances such as polysaccharides, flavonoids, vitamins, proteins, and steroidal saponins, which has good effects on cancer prevention, immune regulation, hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, anti-aging, and anti-fatigue. China is the largest country producing asparagus. Virus disease has become an important disease in asparagus production. Virus has been found in asparagus growing areas all over the world, viral infections are one of the important reasons causing decrease of yield and quality of asparagus. The major viruses of asparagus include Asparagus virus 1 (AV-1), Asparagus virus 2 (AV-2), Asparagus virus 3 (AV-3), Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), and Tobacco stripe virus (TSV).
