The quality of a blank for a paper container with a coating is stabilized. The blank 10 comprises a body part 14 having a paper base material layer 11, an inner layer 12 provided on an inner surface 11 a of the base material layer 11, and an outer layer 13 provided on an outer surface 11 b of the base material layer 11, and a covering part 15 covering an end surface of the base material layer 11 in the body part 14. The coating part 15 is a portion where extension parts extending from an end surface of the base material layer 11 in the inner layer 12 and the outer layer 13 are welded to each other and folded back to the body part 14 side.
