PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide highly safe compositions useful for anti-aging of the skin, joint protection, and the like by effectively inhibiting the expression of MMP-13.SOLUTION: The composition of the invention contains amino sugar, and a plant containing flavonoids. Preferably, the plant containing flavonoids is one or more kinds selected from a Pinus, Kaempferia parviflora, and Fallopia sachalinensis. Also preferably, the amino sugar is glucosamine. The composition of the invention is useful as make-up compositions, cosmetic compositions, compositions for joint protection, and the like by effectively inhibiting the silencing action of MMP-13 percutaneously or orally.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
