To provide a rice cooker in which presence of a foreign matter between a pot and pot temperature detection means can be determined even in a condition in which the foreign matter cannot be detected in prior arts, by enhancing the accuracy of foreign matter detection.SOLUTION: The rice cooker comprises: a pot storing therein, rice and water as cooked objects; a barrel heater and heating coil heating the pot; rice cooking control means controlling the barrel heater and heating coil; a pot sensor detecting temperature of the pot; a display part reporting the occurrence of error when the error occurs.
