Provided are an algae culture apparatus and an algae culture method that can efficiently culture algae. The algae culture apparatus 10 includes an outer wall member 32, a sheet-like member 33 laid on the inside of the outer wall member 32, and a culture tank 30 for storing a culture solution 36 of algae. Further, the algae culture apparatus 10 includes a cooling pipe 25 embedded in the gravel disposed in the cooling region below the sheet-like member 33, and a supply pipe 15 for supplying deep sea water to the cooling pipe 25. Thereby, algae are cultured in the algae culture apparatus 10 while the obtained deep sea water is supplied to the culture tank 30 and the cooling pipe 25. Figure 3
