There is provided an astaxanthin-containing particles that contains the following components (A), (B) and (C): (A) agar and/or gelatin; (B) astaxanthin; and (C) a tocopherol composition having a total content of d-γ-tocopherol and d-δ-tocopherol in total tocopherol of 90 mass% or more; the astaxanthin-containing particles having a continuous phase containing component (A) and a dispersed phase containing components (B) and (C) dispersed in the continuous phase.
