Problem to be solved. To clean a heating surface for heating a cooking object; to avoid adhesion of a residue such as food material scraps to the cooking object; to heighten cooking efficiency; and to improve cooking quality. Solution. A cooking method includes steps of: heating a cooking object (F) by a griddle part (10); detecting residue (G) on the griddle part after taking out the cooking object; and removing the residue from the griddle part by sucking the residue; to thereby clean a heating surface (50) of the griddle part in linkage with taking out of the cooking object, to prevent adhesion of the residue to the cooking object, or the like; and to improve cooking quality of the cooking object.
