The fungus Paecilomyces tenuipes is described, together with applications for its use in preparing foods, healthcare products, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. P. tenuipes is characterized by ease of cultivation, high yield and cultivation trait stability. A product cultivated from P. tenuipes is further described, which has the features of immunity adjustment, tumour and virus resistance, liver protection, nutrition enhancement, hypoxia resistance improvement, pain relief, anti-ageing activity and tranquilizing properties.
