This standard specifies a method for the determination of the water content of animal and vegetable fats and oils using Karl Fischer apparatus and a reagent that is free from pyridine. The principle, reagents, apparatus, sampling and preparation of test samples, determination, calculation of results and test report are given. The precision of the method (repeatability and reproducibility) is set up. This standard is identical to ISO 8534:2008 and EN ISO 8534:2008.
