Relatively inexpensive appliance for making an aerated beverage introduces CO2 under pressure into a bottle partly filled with tap water. An assembly of shatterproof housing (surrounding the bottle), nozzle, stopper and CO2 container is pivoted on the support for easy replacement of the CO2 container.
